The Key to Success

Over the years I have found that the key to success is to surround yourself with people who know much more than you....and then soak up as much of that knowledge as possible. Call me a sponge!

And speaking of sponges.....I think I have finally mastered the sourdough. Thanks to Ronna's wonderful sourdough starter, I just finished a batch of homemade English Muffins (recipe courtesy of my friend Autumn). You can find her recipe here.

So here I sit with butter dripping down my chin...scarfing down my second muffin...Yummy. Oh the taste of success is so sweet.
Many thanks to Ronna, Jess, Bonne, and Autumn for recipes, coaching and answers to endless questions!
If you stop by today for tea, I will serve you one of these yummy muffins, too! Have a great Friday!

Oh those muffins just look heavenly. I LOVE muffins. I'll bet they taste good with home produced honey :)

Thanks for dropping by, I know how busy you are. It's been a bit of a poopy day, with first one then the other cat being poorly. They are such old boys!

Spring is getting under way though, so time to ramp up the growing :)

Take care

Bev~these look so good. I have to try this recipe. I made a triple batch of sourdough pancakes for breakfast and froze the rest for busy days.

I love that sourdough from Ronna.

oooooooooooooohhhhhhhh.....you'd think they just came out of Mom's Diner!! Well, heck, they DID!! LOL I'm having so much fun with that sourdough starter. Try mixing up a bread recipe and tearing off hunks of dough after the first rising, rolling them in a long log and tying into a knot. Brush with melted garlic butter when they come out of the oven. "Garlic Knots" go so well with any Italian recipes....oh, shoot, I missed lunch.....lol

The muffins look so delicious. I really like English muffins and English muffin bread from the Publix bakery. After seeing your homemade muffins, I may be tempted to try baking some myself. Thanks.

I was thinking about you today and had to come over and see what you have been up to. My first batch of Sourdough bread is rising on the countertop. I am so excited and so ready to learn so much more. I will have to try the crumpets. My husband loves them and it would be so great to make some from sourdough.
