Super Bowl Sunday Project

It's not that I don't like football....but to sit still for that many hours is something I just cannot do. So, while the guys were in the family room whooping and hollering (yes, it's Steeler Country here!) I was in the sewing room with this rootin, tootin, cutie. I found just enough leftover scraps of my cowgirl pinup fabric to cut out one complete cowgirl...and here she is appliqued to the front of a kitchen towel. A little handkerchief ruffle completes the look and she is ready to hang on the stove. I think I will save her for our new farmhouse kitchen.

That turned out real cute! Good thing to do during Super Bowl. I did blog browsing, pulled a few weeds, did some cross stitch and posted a blog. Actually did quite a bit during the game!

OK, lets see a show of hands...who did some sort of crafting/sewing project whilst their hubs was watching the game!!! lol!, yep, my hand was up too!
I sewed up 12 denim stockings(pic of one on my blog) I have 5 more that are 1/2 completed and I need to scrounge up an other pair of jeans to make 2 more...I will have a total of 20 stocking once all done.
I guess there is someting good about Super Bowl Sunday,,,,we get lots of projects done! lol!

Oh & Bev, don't let any of my Sisters on the Fly friends see that rootin' tootin' cowgal towel.....they'll go gaga over it! Toooo cute!.

First of all, I just love the finished rag dolls...so cute and cheery! You did a great job! The precious towel is as cute as can be. It looks like it would fit with one of the ladies trailors of Sister's On The Fly. I just love the bandana ruffle. So lovely. blessings,Kathleen
