Every Day Work Apron

Grey wintery weather has kept me busy indoors this week.  With laundry drying on the drying rack by the fire...I sat down and sewed for a couple of hours this afternoon.  Using the rest of the fabric that I used for the grocery tote, I made an every day work apron.  Roomy pockets in a chicken wire pattern make this cotton chicken apron perfect for household tasks...cooking, cleaning, hanging laundry (plenty of room for clothes pins in those pockets!)   Now over to my apron store to post "Henrietta's Every Day Work Apron".

I love today's apron. I'm sorta into roosters right now and even looked for some rooster fabric at lunch at Hancocks. Alas! I didn't find any, but I didn't look terribly hard and didn't ask. I was actually there for other reasons.

Just adorable as are all your aprons! I made a rooster one as a gift at Christmas, you can see it on my blog if you want. I am starting to like roosters, I must be reading your other blog too much!!! lol I even made some pot holders with them.

Looks wonderful! Guess I'm going to have to start wearing those aprons my Mamma left me. They are heartwarming if nothing else.

My Henrietta would be so proud of your apron, that is if hens could talk. I love the fabric and have some in my stash. Oh, the down fall of being a fabric horder. Sometimes you can't find the piece that you know you have somewhere! I think just the feel of fabric is best remedy for what ever ales you.

I'm sure my Auntie Henrietta [rest her soul] would have loved this apron...those pockets look big enough for a book to go in...and she would have loved that. :0)

I'm expecting snow today or tomorrow...stay warm and keep on sewing!
