Les Fraises

Ooh La La!!

It's strawberry season again.

We started picking our strawberries this past weekend....
and will continue to pick for a good part of the summer.

Some of our plants are ever-bearing,
so that means we will have some strawberries for a few months.

Today was strawberry preserves day.
Oh, and we had strawberry shortcake for dessert, of course!

Mmmmmm...I can hardly wait for toast in the morning....
with fresh strawberry preserves.

Yum, Yum! It has been so blasted wet that my strawberries are not riping! My beans in the garden have rotten. I am so sick of rain!!! Will need to replant. So seeing all your lovely strawberries just warms me even though no sun!

AHHH! What a nice walk through the yard!!!
Don't you just LOVE the balck eyed Susan vine????? I discovered them a year or two ago.
Yours are far ahead of mine-but it appears our drought is over-we've had rain 2 days in a row!!!! What a relief!!!!

Strawberries won't be ripe here for another couple of weeks ~ and it will be *iffy* even then with all the rain we have been having. I love making jam and shortcake. I can hardly wait!
Your jam looks luscious!
Blessings!

Yum, yum, strawberry my all time favorite. I like making preserves, but unfortunately my dh doesn't like me doing it. He just isn't a jam person. Sigh....I used to make blueberry jam every summer, which is another of my all time favorites.
