Oh I love September. To me it is the beginning of the changing to a new season. I love the coolness of the mornings and evenings and the start of the change of color. Always makes me want to put on a pot of cider to warm throughout the day!

Doug and I were just talking about how September is such an amazing month! You are so sweet to do give-aways of your fabulous aprons!

Do you know what my favorite part of September is? The smell of a spicy crisp apple as I take a walk in the crisp morning air!

Debra said...

I agree with Aunt Jenny. I love that the weather here in Nevada cools down. That my sweaters are back in the closet. that I haven't had to run that darn swamp cooler all day..
please enter me in the drawing!

What I love about September are the warm days and the cool nights. The sound of the school bus rumbling down the street, the hummingbirds who visit my feeders before making their journey south.

For me, September means baking pies and leisurely strolling through Holiday craft magazines & books.
My two favorite seasons are Spring & Autumn....
In Autumn, I love wearing my cuddly sweaters & curling up on the Davenport w/a cup of spiced tea, a kitty and a good craft magazine...
Thanx for having this wonderful September Drawing. Hugz!

I love the cooling down, the brown fringes on our maple tree leaves out front, the change of meals we make here, the gathering up of fruits and veggies before it freezes, putting the quilt and down comforters on the bed, meeting the grand girls at the bus stop from their first day of school with my dd. Yep, September is grand.....

Oh, September - I just love that "crispness" that gets into the air overnight. The mornings are WONDERFUL for having a warm drink outside on the porch...

And, Bev, did I mention that your aprons are just INCREDIBLE?!?!?!

What I love about September??

I love summer, but September is a beautiful month. The leaves are changing, the pumpkins are everywhere, hopefully the weather stays nice for the whole month, and just the smell of Fall!

BritChickNY said...

Oh, the mornings are just a tad chilly. Feels so good to wake up with the windows open and there is a nip in the air. I love the thought of coming winter evenings when I can sit and sew or knit and not feel guilty because I'm not working in the yard!
Fall....my most favorite time of year!

I love that the weather gives us a small relief from the heat and a hint at what is to come in autumn, my favorite time of year. Also, my husband and I were married in September, three years ago tomorrow!

I love the crisp weather that generally starts in September. The smell of fall and the beginning of the leaves changing.

I'm from OKLAHOMA...are you kidding? It's FOOTBALL! Ok, now that I answered what any self-respecting person from Oklahoma would answer.....I can give my REAL answer. Just plain ol' sitting on my porch swing reading a good book and drinking a hot cup of coffee....hopefully reclined on wonderful fluffy pillows....as long as my "BUBBA" didn't show his passive aggression and STEAL THEM. What is BUBBA you ask.... http://livingthegoodlife5.blogspot.com/2008/08/passive-aggressive.html I love your aprons...so talented you are...

I love: Cool mornings with the dew glistening on the leaves, the beginnings of gold on the trees. The crisp crunch of juicy apples and the orange pumpkins sleeping in the fields. Oh, Autumn...glorious Autumn how do I love thee........

Maryjane-The Beehive Cottage said...

Oh, I LOVE Autumn because it is close to the holidays and it's pumpkin season!!! I love Halloween and Thanksgiving! To me it is a time to get organized after a busy summer and start my hoilday lists! I love the freshness in the air and the calmness the season brings. Cozy up to a warm fire and watching old movies!

Thanks for another fun drawing Beverly! xo

September is my favorite month - it is my birth month, the weather is beginning to change so I can really enjoy my mocha in the cool mornings, and school is starting (and now that I am retired I don't have to worry about making sure that all of those little chickeedees who came to the office are happy - although I really do miss the darlins').

I just love all of your aprons - all so different and each with a personality of it's own.

September is when the asters start blooming and the tourists start heading home. I like it when the traffic thins out and the orchards start selling apples. The light is beginning to change too, and that makes everything look beautiful...

I love that school starts back up here in Sept. That means nice quiet days durning the week and the kids go inside earlier at night.

Don't get me wrong, the children don't bother me at all. But they do my dogs and I hate to hear the bark bark bark all day long until the kids go back inside.

I would love to win an apron from your collection. I collect them and can't seem to ever get enough.

I'm going to put a link to your giveaway on my blog for you.

Hugs,
Joanne

What I love about September is the feeling of a "fresh start". I like to do a deep cleaning followed by some re-decorating with my "autumn things", making everything seem fresh and new. (wouldn't I look beautiful doing all that in one of your aprons!) tee-hee!

I love September so much!! I love the cooler, crisp air, the cozy sweatshirts and changing of the leaves. Fall to me smells like new beginnings:)

I love the cool mornings and evenings. That I can wear my comfy sweaters and slippers around the house again. I feel like making stew and soups and comfy casseroles. I start craving apple cider and warm tea in the afternoons. The cottonwood trees are starting to have spots of yellow on them, the deer are out in the lower hay meadow and the kids love to see the big boys. I love that it's a lazy time for us here on the ranch. Hubby doesn't have to do as much and gets time to relax and hang out with the kids.

I just love fall!

I like rearranging my closets and putting out my autumn decor! I love the fall colors. Around here, we don't have many of those colors outside, so I fill the inside with them!

This will be my first REAL fall! I have always lived in areas where we only had two seasons! I get to enjoy all four, and I am looking forward to doing school projects with the colored leaves, as this is our first year homeschooling.

Serena, mom of four, is loving September!

But I REALLY love September because it's my anniversary month! This year will be 4 years to the man of my prayers.

I would LOVE one of your aprons! So sweet!

What do I love about September?? It's the prelude to Autumn, my favorite season. There's the crispness in the morning air, the leaves are just beginning to change, and it's apple picking time, which means lots of yummy baking to do. It's also the month of our wedding anniversary. 26 years this month!!

September is like a second New Year. In January everyone is making resolutions and wearing new clothes received at Christmas. There is a sense of optimism and new beginnings.

The same thing happens in September. We get organized for a new year of homeschooling, new programs and functions at church, new clothes bought at back-to-school sales. There's just nothing like freshly sharpened new pencils and boxes of crayons that haven't been used yet. There's a sense of optimism and expectancy in the air. Somehow you know that you won't be disappointed in September like you were in January--when things were rainy and dreary. Everything is crisp and new.

And the apple pie doesn't hurt the mood either.

Well, September is the month of manly birthdays. My Father, Brother, Brother in Law and Husband all have birthdays in the first 12 days of September. How weird is it that both my sister and I married guys with the same astroligical sign as our dad? And our hubbies birthdays are just a day apart! September is the time to go for evening walks, the time for fall cleaning and the time for cozy books and hot tea in the evening. September is a very good, most treasured month.

I look at September as the beginning of the New Year, rather than January. School is starting, weather is changing, even changing of our wardrobes from hot to cooler days ahead. I love to have a good clean sweep of the house to set the season off right. It also mean pumpkins, cinnamon and fresh, clean air, so I can open up the windows again. YEE HAW!!!
